Bjorn Hanson

As a Chief Instructor for Elements Music LLC, I taught both group classes on keyboards and private piano lessons beginning in 2003 (16yrs.). With Elements, I was responsible for creating beginner-intermediate arrangements of top 40 hits as well as the most popular Movie, Video Game, and TV Themes of the day. To promote our unique sticker method as well as music education, I performed over 100 demonstrations at school assemblies around the school districts in the valley annually for many years. I now teach privately full-time both in group lessons and private.
In 2005, I graduated the ASU Barrett Honors College Summa Cum Laude. My primary instructor since 2000 has been master pianist Larry Clapp, who sadly passed away in November 2017. He was always the great inspiration in my choosing to pursue a career in piano. I have been a member of the MTNA EVMTA and PMTA for 10 years and consistently enroll students in the ASP state exams. This year, 3 of my students passed the most advanced L12 (High School Senior) level proficiency. I hold 2 annual recitals and regularly participate in MTNA events.

Under Radmila Stojanovic Kiriluk and Ruth Yandell, I acquired both my of my CCL certifications in Beginner and Intermediate Piano Pedagogy at MCC and continue to maintain a consistent studio of 20-30 students. Since having our beautiful daughter Arja, I am primarily a traveling teacher, but lessons in the home are still available. I'll be looking forward to teaching your eager students soon!
