Joanna Banta recently relocated to Hanford, California and has moved to a (primarily) online lesson format, where she successfully teaches Phoenix area residents piano and voice. She returns to the Valley monthly to continue serving as the Associate Conductor at Valley Christian High School and provide in-person private voice and piano lessons to her studio.
Joanna Banta graduated from Corona del Sol High School in Tempe, and was a Regional and All-State Choir participant her freshman through senior years. Mrs. Banta studied piano/voice at Arizona State University on a full ride academic and choral scholarship, and graduated with both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Vocal Performance. Mrs. Banta offers online lessons and once a month in-person lessons at Gethsemane Church Tempe, along with recitals each semester. When she isn’t teaching her private students and accompanying the high school choirs, Mrs. Banta serves regularly at local churches and retirement communities. Beyond her musical activities, Mrs. Banta is married and has two children.
