Brian grew up in a musical household and first picked up piano when he was 6 years old. His next instrument was a drum set. He has been playing percussion and drum set for 15 years and has been teaching for 9 years. He spent two years as the Percussion Caption Head for Cathedral City High School Royal Regiment band program where he taught drumline and percussion and oversaw the drumline instructional staff. He spent three years as the school's Front Ensemble Percussion Director and Arranger. He has also served as director of percussion for James Workman Middle School, and done drumline clinic work with various middle schools and high schools in California and Arizona.Brian has been a part of three Drum Corps International world championship groups in 2004, 2006, and 2007. He has been a part of the GROOVE Percussion Ensemble, played drum set and guitar for various musical theatre productions, performed with Riverside City College's award winning Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble, and played with numerous jazz combos. He currently plays drum set with the Scottsdale Community College Big Band, and plays drum set, percussion, and guitar with McDowell Mountain Community Church.Brian owns and operates Banner Music Lessons, a local music lessons company that provides 1-on-1 music lessons in your home!
