
Daniel Fletcher has had a distinguished career in the piano world as a performer, college professor, and muscal mentor to hundreds of pianists nationally and around the world. The Music Teachers National Association bestowed the classification of Master Teacher upon Professor Fletcher in 1987. This award is based upon excellence in performance, teaching, and service. Upon retirement from college teaching in 2002 from the University of Memphis, Daniel Fletcher was awarded the title of Professor Emeritus. Professor Fletcher currently maintains a private studio in Ahwatukee with his wife Catherine, former director of the Herberger Institute Community School for Design and the Arts and Founding Executive Director of the Bosendorfer-Schimmel piano competition at Arizona State University, among other notable accomplishments.
